Great thoughts, Mary. I would add that people need to stop being angry when someone wishes them "Happy Holidays." The word holiday has its roots in holy day, for heaven's sake. Let's not be so touchy!

Our small town has many Christmas decorations and lights. The town circle has a manger scene, carolers, and the three wise men on camels (although the camel crossing sign gets stolen once in a while). Someone at church noted that the annual parade (the Monday after Thanksgiving) was now a "Holiday Parade."
