Likewise, it is good when our children come home for a break at Christmas, and other times, to share time with us and their friends around town. Being together, talking (or sometimes not talking), sharing. Excuse me if I babble."

The point of Mary's post, if I take it correctly, is that "Every good & perfect gift comes from the Lord." I.e, Yes, we rejoice when people are sharing fellowship or when family comes home etc. The question is WHY? The answer is: Because we are made in the image & likeness of the Trinity which defines family & fellowship.

In the old days (20 years ago), it wasn't really necessary for Catholics to be able to connect those dots because everyone knew the Truth somewhere in their heart. Today, that Truth is being co-opted by Macy's, the atheists ("Be good for goodness sake") & anyone else who wants the "feel good" without the "Know Good". Thus Father's excellent WSJ article.

Its pretty much PAST time for Catholics (as opposed to CINOs) to wake up, reclaim their faith & find their vocal chords. In another 20 years, if we keep going like we are, the roots of "feel good" religion will be gone & the New Socialism will be in full flower.

This is nothing new.
