But when they understand that it really means &amp;quot;the whole person&amp;quot; that often helps them understand what&amp;#39;s really going on with the Real Presence in Holy Communion. And when they grasp that it&amp;#39;s the Risen Christ, that helps them to understand better while at the same time rocketing the mystery of it all into the stratosphere. What, after all, is risen body and blood? To receive and consume this is to take into ourselves our own ultimate destiny, namely an intimate sharing in the life of the risen Lord himself. &lt;br /&gt; When we receive Communion we receive the whole person of the Risen Christ. This means a lot to me, at least. - Mitch Finley</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7349257421667969689/10695911705575567/comments/default/528029944215213626'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7349257421667969689/10695911705575567/comments/default/528029944215213626'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.osvdailytake.com/2009/06/celebrating-feast-of-corpus-christi.html?showComment=1244744118643#c528029944215213626' title=''/><author><name>Mitch and Kathy Finley</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/15446092656369757497</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='32' src='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_DfoXLc8my9o/STMR-xBQQ-I/AAAAAAAAAGA/fYYxDmdvFJk/S220/photo.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.osvdailytake.com/2009/06/celebrating-feast-of-corpus-christi.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7349257421667969689.post-10695911705575567' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7349257421667969689/posts/default/10695911705575567' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1948241427'/></entry></feed>
