Pope could name new cardinals this month

According to Rome Reports, Pope Benedict XVI could name new cardinals on Jan. 18. On the list of possible candidates are two Americans: Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Archbishop Edwin O'Brien, former Archbishop of Baltimore and current pro-grand master of the Equestrian Order (Knights) of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, based in Rome.
