This is just a feel-good story that fits the mood of the season perfectly. A mother in Colorado Springs went to the hospital to give birth to her third child on Christmas Eve, but things went tragically wrong. She went into cardiac arrest and, according to her doctor, died during labor. After doctors tried and failed to resuscitate her, they delivered her baby boy by cesarean section -- without anesthesia. But the baby appeared to be dead as well. It seemed like the ultimate Christmas tragedy until the mother's pulse came back after delivery and she was rushed to the OR to complete her surgery. As the father held his lifeless son, doctors frantically tried to save the little boy, and succeeded. The new dad says it is a Christmas miracle that both his wife and newborn son were revived and appear to be perfectly healthy with no further complications from their near-death experiences.
