NYC law could threaten sidewalk counselors

A new law that will make it easier to prosecute pro-life sidewalk counselors who peacefully protest outside of abortion clinics will go into effect in New York City next month. The current law requires a person directly affected by the protests -- such as a woman seeking an abortion -- to press charges against the protesters. The new law will allow a third party -- such as an abortion clinic worker -- to press charges. And, for obvious reasons, clinic workers will be all to eager to finally have a way to remove sidewalk counselors who pray and sing and talk to women entering the clinics about the babies growing in their wombs.

Here's a reasonably fair story on the law from today's New York Times, featuring sidewalk counselors from Expectant Mother Care. The reporter even witnessed one young mom-to-be changing her mind after counselors encouraged her to have an ultrasound first. You can read the story by clicking HERE.
