The up side of the economic downturn

It seems that these troubled times might turn out to be a boon for vocations. A story in today's N.Y. Post says the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Name Province, headquartered in New York City, are seeing an increasing number of men interested in giving up a life of financial uncertainty for a life of definite poverty. The friars are running subway ads and Facebook ads to draw more men to the order with lines like: "Day shift? Night shift? How about a life shift?" To read the full story, click here.
