Because allegations about an error in an OSV newspaper sidebar (online access limited to print subscribers) have started being repeated on the Internet, we want to publish here a correction:
Because of a misunderstanding during OSV contributing editor Valerie Schmalz' phone interview with the executive director of Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, Our Sunday Visitor in a sidebar in the March 8 edition incorrectly identified former Vatican Ambassador Thomas Melady as a board member of the group. In fact, Melady is on the group's advisory council. This information is readily available on the website of Catholics in Alliance.
